The Brainerd Jaycees Run for the Lakes takes the health and safety of our participants, supporters and volunteers very seriously. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 social distancing guidelines we have decided to again convert the live race to a virtual race. While we were looking forward to seeing all of you again, we feel as though this gives all participants not only a chance to run, but also to plan and train in advance. Even though we may be miles apart, we will all run together as one.
We had a successful 2020 virtual race, and are looking forward to expanding on that for the 2021 race. We are actively brainstorming some creative ways to make our virtual race more interactive and fun!
The positive social and economic effects generated by this race are important for all our communities. The dollars spent and raised will go back into the economy through business and charities. This race is 100% organized by volunteers. We are a leadership organization who create active citizens which make a positive impact to communities all over the world.
Our 14th annual Brainerd Jaycees Run for the Lakes will be held virtually April 23-25th. On April 24th we will be broadcasting live on Facebook for the start of the races and continue posting throughout the day. Each racer will receive their swag items via mail.
More information about the virtual run will be posted in the coming weeks, including swag items, etc. Thank you for your support and understanding.
Run for the Lakes is organized from start to finish by volunteers of the Brainerd Jaycees. All proceeds from the 2021 event will be donated to the Brainerd YMCA.
